Christmas Letter 2010!

2010 has been a very fun and blessing-filled year for the Kingsford family.

In April we celebrated Asher Dean's first birthday as he continues his reign as the center of our universe. Brendan returned from his mission to Japan in June. We all had a fabulous vacation at Panama City beach for a week in July. In August, Shari, Clark, Brendan and Kendall went to see the Broadway musical, Wicked. Shari , Clark and Brendan drove out to Brigham Young University at the start of his fall semester. Now we are all looking forward to spending Christmas together here in Alabama.

After over three years of serving as our ward's Young Women's President, Shari was released in July and immediately called as the Ward Activities Committee Chairman. She also continued her annual work on the Stake Christmas Festival, creating a wonderful, new wise-men tent, complete with a star chart.

Clark is still working for Boeing (25 years). He loves his job and his calling: Pack 676 Cub Master. Clark is especially enjoying having Brendan in town to do a lot heavy lifting around the house that has been waiting for him.

Kimberly and her family are doing really well. For the latest on their family's happenings, please visit her blog.

Brendan loved his mission in Japan, where he found a lot of joy teaching the gospel. He extended the end of his mission by six weeks, arriving home on June 25th. He misses Japan and wishes his dad could remember more than a few words of Japanese. He is now a sophomore at BYU and plans to major in accounting with his eye on a JD MBA degree from the University of Texas. He is dating a gorgeous young woman from our ward who was one of Shari's Laurels. She is also attending BYU.

Kendall has grown into a strikingly beautiful sixteen year old. After completing the requirements for her Young Women's Medallion, she got her license, and hopes to someday have a car. In April, she sang, danced, and served as choreographer in her high school's musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. She will be fulfilling the same role this coming April in Guys and Dolls. She also took Advanced Art and discovered a love for painting. Kendall continues to do well in school and is a joy to her parents.

The Kingsford family wishes y'all a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed 2011!

Our Littlest Laurel

This little one comes to mutual almost every Wednesday evening. She fits in perfectly with the Laurels and we all love her. One night when I was taking pictures of the YW my lense fell upon her face and she lit up! She loves the camera and the camera loves her.

I Remember

I haven't lived in Arizona for 25 years but when the weather is warm and dry I remember. Not much about Madison reminds me of my childhood home only those rare moments when its unseasonably warm and dry. Even though it killed my daffodils and shriveled my tulips I'm happy in this warmth.

Our Neighbors

We love our neighbors, the Robertson family. Clark has really enjoyed being their home teacher off and on for years. Wendy is now my wonderful visiting teacher.
There are so many memories of Bill and Wendy helping us out with church functions. Whether it's setting up, cleaning up or just about anything else, we can always count on them.
Lately Wendy and I have spent alot of time together sewing prom dresses and making costumes for the High school musical. She is a good seamstress, a very creative woman and a supportive friend.
It was fun taking their pictures. I love watching their beautiful family interact with each other and all those extra mommies taking care of Liam.

*note to self: White walls do not make good back drops and don't forget to take shots from all directions.

Liam got out of the car and immediately set these characters up on the ground for me to take pictures of.

After watching his sisters pose in front of the window Liam hopped up on the sill and began to make such funny poses for me. So cute.

Hoping for Clear Skies

Today was a full day of weeding, pruning, raking, mowing and sweeping. Then off to visit 4 nurseries for a little rock pricing.

I wonder what's at the end of this sidewalk

Clark googling tomorrow's weather because after all our hard work we still have to plant, mulch and spray.

Fun Day!

When Clark let me know he was taking Friday off to help me work in the yard I was so happy. Working in the yard and especially working in the yard with Clark is one of my favorite things to do. The weather is fantastic right now, but I hear it is going to rain on Saturday. Thank goodness Clark Googles weather all the time and doesn't mind helping me in the yard.

Shelby

This gorgeous and spunky girl is a delight to all who know her. On occasion I have had the privledge to watch her dance. Watching her can bring out a surprising amount of emotion in me. It's beautiful to behold.
Not only is she beautiful on the outside she is beautiful on the inside as well. She has strong principles and a conviction to be a force for good in this world. I always feel the spirit when she prays.
Shelby was very patient and cooperative with me, holding these poses and repeating the leaps until I could catch the right shot.
Thanks Shelby!
