And a Happy New Year!

We had a great time ringing in the New Year with Kimberly and Austin and their friends in Tuscaloosa.
Our family tradition for New Years day is making the Japanese dish GYOZA. Clark learned to make this yummy food on his mission in Japan. Because it is such a rich dish and takes some time to make we save it for this special day. Also we honor the Japanese New Year this way too. It is extra special to us this year as Brendan is celebrating his first New Year in Japan. We hope that Brendan is enjoying the celebrations that Japan has to offer as much as Clark fondly remembers them.
We are grateful for a Happy 2008 and we hope our Family and Friends find themselves experiencing a Joyful 2009.

Looks beautiful. And what a neat tradition. How cool for Brendan to serve where his dad did. Happy New Year!

They look yummy! What makes them take so long to make?

These look so very delicious. I did not realize that Clark served his mission in Japan--like father, like son. Hello to Kimberly and Austin!

You made a great display for a pic! looks great! We had this greast place we loved to go (or order take out) for Gyoza's. Yum!!! We'd order several trays of 10 each. It was great! Now we try to make them at home (from frozen... do you make them from scratch?). Good, but never quite the same!
happy New year!!!

What a great tradition!
I don't know what a gyoza is, though.

Hope Kimberly and baby boy are doing well.
